One of the most powerful tools a leader can employ is consistent communication. Does everyone (staff and volunteers) know your top three priorities? If you randomly asked them what key priorities simply had to be accomplished over the next year, how many different answers would you get? And, would they be the same as your answers? Try it-could be a real eye opener…

To get effective alignment of resources with employee and volunteer effort everyone has to be absolutely crystal clear on what they need to work on, how it fits into the big picture (that you cast at the beginning of the year), and why their job is an important piece of the overeall strategy. Without that, people ae just putting in time at a job, rather than feeding their passion in a calling.

So, why not stroll around the office and take the temperature of your staff. Are your priorities their priorities? If not, lets talk about how we can change that. Call me
